Music Box Choral program is open to public by application. We accept applications and hold auditions on an ongoing basis.

No vocal experience or formal voice training is required to join, but auditions will determine which Choir level the student starts with.

Choir Tiers

School Choir Group - beginner level

Concert Choir Group - intermediate level

Show Choir Group - advanced level

Choir groups progresses through the levels of achievement (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced) and receive formal recognition at Music Box testing events & graduation concerts:

  • Graduation criteria are built into the Choir curriculum

  • Certain number of Choir performances, as well as mastering all of the Choir grade level skills, will be required to advance to the next Choir level  

  • Choir meets at least once a week for a standing 60-minute rehearsal

  • Over 70 meets (equivalent to 100 instructional hours) between rehearsals, team building events & performances

  • Led by a dedicated Music Box Choir Director

  • Contact us for a syllabus, calendar of annual commitments and cost to participate

  • The fee for the Choir program is heavily discounted for Music Box’s current students. It covers required materials, resources, supplies, gear, tools & tech, rehearsal space, gig bookings, sheet music and arrangements as well as tracks and the copyright & licensing compliance.

  • Program staff: Choir Director, Vocal coach, Choir Assistant, Sound engineer, Recording engineer, Performance Coach.
